Ceramicist Solveiga Gutaute creates contemporary Baltic porcelain jewellery and stoneware crockery for sentimental souls, who want to reconnect with nature. The artist’s ideas, time, glance and closeness have been gathered from the past and put into each ceramic piece. Her porcelain jewellery collections are dedicated to and described by fairy tales. Then ceramic creations become meaningful, with their own stories and awaken feelings inside the wearer. The making process requires two or three firings at 1250 degrees Celsius. Then pieces are decorated with gold, platinum and underglaze decorative paint. Solveiga holds Master’s degree in Ceramics (2010), having obtained Bachelor’s degree in Ceramics (2001) from Vilnius Academy of Arts.
